An Earthquake in Morocco
In joy, sorrow, and every season of our lives, we've always remembered to turn to you, O God. Today, we are overwhelmed by the cries of an untouchable pain caused by the earthquake in Morocco. Stretch your hand and heart and extend Gilead's balm to the many wounded souls now in need of additional care. We ask you to demonstrate priority for the welfare of those affected, and lead towards recovery and healing. We still have no understanding of why such disastrous events occur. Yet, O God, we believe that you are present even in the rubble of our lives. There is a gaping wound in your creation, God. What do we do with such sorrow, O God? We dare not try to hide it from you. So, hear O Lord the chorus of sorrow from the Moroccan people and from the nations of the world.
